Multi-platinum and Grammy nominated blues-rock guitarist Mark Kendall of GREAT WHITE, presented Heavy Honey with the Vegas Breakout Band of the Year trophy at the Sunday, August 26, Vegas Rocks! Magazine awards.

"It was phenomenal being in Vegas at the award show," Kendall said. "It was especially cool to present a younger band like Heavy Honey their award. I looked out over the audience and just saw so many legends. I'm anxious to follow Heavy Honey in the coming years. I also want to personally thank honoree David Coverdale. He's a part of the reason my band, Great White, really gained notoriety in Europe when we toured with Whitesnake. The whole award's night was really special and I would have gone anyway to cheer on these incredible musicians. To Sally Steele, her team and Jason Green, thank you for making this happen and letting me rock with some of my peers. It was truly an awesome night all around."
